Our Offer

Enrichment
Enrichment is a vital part of life at Redwood School, offering learners a wide range of experiences that extend learning beyond the classroom. Through creative, physical and practical activities, we nurture confidence, curiosity and independence. Our enrichment opportunities are designed to inspire learners, develop life skills and support their personal growth in a safe and supportive environment.

Morning Enrichment
The school day begins at 8.45 with a range of class based enrichment opportunities such as class assemblies, morning routines, reading, physical activity, sensory circuits and tracking positive reward points.

Lunchtime Enrichment
The middle of the day provides a wealth of opportunities to enhance our learners’ school experiences through enrichment activities. For those eating, this is a time to interact with peers and adults in a relaxed setting, creating new relationships and developing key lifeskills.
A wide range of lunchtime clubs are on offer catering for all learners in all pathways including sensory relaxation, multi-sports, art and music amongst many others.

Class Based Enrichment
Within our formal and semi-formal pathways, time within their classes is factored into the timetable to facilitate even more enrichment. After lunch they will be able to work on social interaction, developing relationships and celebrating achievements with their peers. They will also be working towards the ‘5 Ways to Wellbeing’ and reflecting on their progress towards EHCP outcomes and short term targets.
Within our informal and pre-formal pathways, opportunities for enrichment are interspersed throughout the day, offering a wide range of experiences to enhance learner wellbeing and social and emotional development.

End of the Day Enrichment
The end of the school day allows time for learners to self-reflect on their day, organise their belongings and interact with peers and adults in a relaxed setting, ready for their journey home.
