Quality of Education
Redwood School is committed to delivering exceptional education that empowers every learner. Our curriculum is thoughtfully designed to be engaging, inclusive, and ambitious, ensuring that learners of all abilities are challenged and supported to reach their full potential. With passionate teaching, high expectations, and a focus on individual progress, we create a dynamic learning environment where curiosity is nurtured and achievement is celebrated. At Redwood, learners develop not only strong academic foundations but also the skills and confidence needed for lifelong success.

Redwood Provisions:

On entry, each learner will be allocated a place in one of our provisions that will best meet the needs documented in Section F of their EHCP. Decisions are supported through working closely with previous schools, families, wider professionals and by meeting the learners themselves. We consider their past experiences and place a strong emphasis on transition. A learner’s provision is not fixed, and we recognise that needs can change over time.
At Key Stage 3 and 4, Redwood has 6 different provisions:

The Informal, Semi-Formal and Formal Curriculums are planned with half termly topic cycles over 3 years (Key Stage 3) and 2 years (Key Stage 4).
-
The Personalised Curriculum is driven by learner interests and makes links to the Semi-Formal and Formal Curriculum as appropriate.
-
In Engage, learners may have specific strengths and follow aspects of the Semi-Formal/ Formal Curriculum as appropriate, alongside their Informal topic cycles.
-
In Boost, learners often participate in mainstream activities or subjects, matched to their ability, interests and needs, adding an additional layer to their Formal Curriculum.
