Impact and Evidence

Personal development at Redwood School is evidenced through strong participation, recognised accreditation, and positive outcomes for learners.

Our Healthy Schools Award (February 2025) reflects a sustained focus on wellbeing, supported by targeted mental health interventions and high levels of engagement.

Learners demonstrate a clear understanding of British values, SMSC, equality, and diversity, alongside growing independence in school and beyond.

Our careers programme is aligned with the Gatsby Benchmarks and regularly evaluated through Compass, with clear transition pathways and positive destinations. Increasing numbers of learners access independent travel training, successfully completing journeys and developing confidence in real-life settings.

High participation in programmes such as Duke of Edinburgh, Children’s University, extra-curricular activities, and wider enrichment demonstrates strong engagement, supported by positive learner and parental feedback and case studies.

Learning Outside the Classroom (LOTC) and community engagement provide a broad range of meaningful experiences, with carefully planned visits linked to progression and individual development.
